Changes in the position and orientation of the larger-scale precipitation bands last night shifted the center of action for snowfall from the Ogden-area mountains to the Salt Lake and Provo area mountains. Compare the hourly precipitation at Ben Lomond and Alta-Collins the past 24 hours. Ben Lomond was creamed earlier in the period, but Collins got the good last night (note scale change).
Alta-Collins ended up with 14" of 8% water content snow for what will probably be damn good April skiing this morning. And its still snowing.
15 more inches until 200 at collins! I think it could happen this weekend
ReplyDeleteYup, we're close. You are now a very spoiled Utah skier.
