There hasn't been a year since 1993 with a statewide average temperature in Utah less than the 20th century (1901–2000) average. Given our remarkably cold spring, I thought this streak was at risk.
NCDC has released it's preliminary analysis of statewide temperatures through 2011 and we made it by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin. The statewide average temperature was 48.0ºF, just a shade above the 20th century average temperature of 47.93ºF.

The streak continues, although the .07ºF differential might not be significant in the statistical sense.
