Twin Peaks in Last Storm
Busy day today with limited time to blog. For your viewing pleasure, click on the image below for a pseudo 3D radar loop from Tuesday's storm. The loops is looking from the NNW toward the Wasatch Range. Twin Peaks is the big red triangular thing that sticks up in the vertical scan. You'll see reflectivity maxima moving across it. Other bright red reflectivity maxima on the horizontal scan are peaks in the Wasatch. Looking forward to getting this data georeferenced so we can add 3-D terrain to make this easier to interpret, but for now, just ooh and ahh as you see precipitation bands moving across the mountains.
