It has always been a dream of mine to get detailed radar data of a winter storm in the Cottonwood Canyons and we did today. The event was not one that featured strong orographic precipitation enhancement, but we still got some great data (see previous post) and it will be interesting to contrast this event with future events with stronger enhancement. We also got great data of the storm over the northern Salt Lake Valley and Great Salt Lake.
The DOW is leaving for a quick trip to San Francisco. We're hoping it will be back for the next big storm.
