The snow depth at Alta-Collins is sitting at about 17 inches and will reach zero in about a week. As we have discussed previously (see
The Insidious Loss of Snow during the Past Month), the snowmelt this year was remarkably steady and persistent, although Mother Nature finally did throw a late storm at us last week (you can't miss it in the graph above), which probably extended the duration of the snow cover season at this site by 2 or 3 days.
A week from today is July 1, so that would be a nice psych point.
