Going out on a limb here, but I predict tomorrow will be the greatest case of powder panic in the history of the Cottonwoods. Let's see....
- No significant valley snow this season until today
- Few powder days this season
- No parking reservations required at Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, or Solitude
- It's a holiday week

ReplyDeleteThe drive down from Brighton yesterday at noon was truly harrowing. Cars more than five feet in front of me just disappeared into the ether.

ReplyDeleteI think you were right! We arrived at the canyon gate and parked on the side of the road about 50 meters to the west. At 4:30 A.M. We were the second car up the canyon at 7:55. It was deep powder on Sunspot with the sun out!
