Widespread Butt Cold

Unofficial minimum temperatures at stations reporting to MesoWest suggest that every county in Utah had at least one site with a minimum temperature of -10ºF or lower last night.  The big winner, as usual, is Peter Sink at -46ºF.

The analysis below shows that the western United States had the most anomalously cold temperatures (relative to climatological averages) in the Northern Hemisphere yesterday.

  2. What is also interesting is all the hot (warmer) weather they are having in the east. 50's and 60's yesterday in Ohio and Michigan, and almost 70 in Rochester NY.
