"Hot" off the Presses

As we anticipated earlier this month, the National Climatic Data Center reports that that 2012 was the warmest year in the instrumented record in Utah (and the US).

I always say go big or go home.  NCDC calls this year at 51.6ºF, which tops 1934 by 0.3ºF.  As can be seen above, the last year below the long-term average in Utah was 1993.  This is not your grandfather's climate anymore.
