Spring is known for its ups and downs, and this year has been no exception in the upper elevations of the Wasatch Mountains. We've had some impressive warm spells and dust storms interspersed with the return of winter.
Yesterday afternoon and last night, 9 inches of the white stuff fell at Alta, enabling another opportunity for a Cascadian experience today.
Further, there's more snow on the way with another storm expected on Friday.
And then the potential for some unsettled weather over the weekend. The intermittent nature of the snow combined with the warm temperatures makes it difficult to get a high quality dump, but it is May, so you shouldn't complain.
If you are ready for warm, dry weather, it will return next week.
