Wonderful July Weather Continues

I have something very exciting to show you.  High temperatures the past three days were below normal!

Source: NWS
Not only that, they were below 90ºF (89, 89, and 86).  Any day in July with a high temperature below 90 is a good day.

And, on top of that, we have another cool, showery day on tap today, with some action in the area even this morning.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

  1. What is the source of all this moisture? I remember reading somewhere that the major source of moisture in SLC during the summer is monsoonal related. Thanks for any insight!

  2. New meteorologist to the area from south Texas. I'm guessing is the monsoon that I hear about? Is this pattern more typical for August or can it happen in July. Thanks! :)

  3. Good ideas lexunf and Stephanie. Perhaps I'll try and address these in a future post.
