Some great footage was shot today by our faculty and students during the windstorm. I don't want to squish them down, so I'll just provide direct links:
1. Video looking to the north from near KSLC airport showing the orographic cloud over the Wasatch and the downstream rotor cloud that forms at the top of the rotor (see previous post). You can see much of the flow indicated in the figure in the previous flow just by looking at the cloud movement in this loop. Special thanks to U professor Dave Whiteman.
