The atmosphere accounts for just over 2% of the warming, so what you are really saying is that you don't think the climate system has warmed for the past 18 years because one data set (RSS) suggests that 2% of the climate system hasn't warmed for the past 18 years.

And by the way, RSS is not without its own "corruption". Even Roy Spencer thinks that RSS has a cold bias because of the correction they are applying to the decaying orbit of the old NOAA-15 satellite. Furthermore, potentially "corrupt" land stations can be removed from NOAA analyses, which shows that the last year over oceans is still the warmest for their record: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201505.Adam Varblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14991968453822376063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6168620747792092240.post-52337722314959303432015-06-19T13:25:38.717-06:002015-06-19T13:25:38.717-06:00Hmm... The latest RSS satellite monthly global mean surface temperature anomaly dataset is much less corrupt and shows no global warming for the last 18 years 6 months while at the same time CO2 has continued to increase at a faster and faster rate. Those that believe that CO2 was the cause of global warming that DID occur from the mid/late 70's all the way through the mid/late 90's can't explain the pause in the current warming when CO2 has continued to increase at a faster and faster rate and is currently at a all time high in 2015.Scot Chipmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17650190017905455606noreply@blogger.com
