The Hottest Day of the Year (So Far)

We've hit 99F three days this year, but have yet to reach 100.  That should change today, which will be the hottest day of the year so far.

The latest NAM forecast cranks the 700-mb temperature up to 18.7C at the Salt Lake City airport by 6 PM tonight.  Scorching.

The GFS is just a shade cooler at 18.3C.  Yesterday the 700-mb temperature was 15.4C and we hit 98F.  At 10 am we were already 89F.  100 is in the bag and I think we have a shot at 102 for the max.  Stay cool.
