A Mild Stretch

It has been an impressive run of mild weather in Salt Lake City since about mid-August.  Since 19 August, there have only been 4 days with a minimum temperature below average and, if I'm reading the graph right, 9 with a maximum temperature below average.

On the 30th (not plotted above) we hit 91F, and that day put my house, which sits on a southerly aspect in full sun, over the comfort level.   Temps in the house have been reaching into the 80s during the afternoon, but there's no way I'm going to turn the A/C on in October.  No way.

The best thing to do today is head to the mountains to take in the colors.  The mountain biking yesterday was beautiful, and trail conditions are excellent.
